The Stray Dogs Band play popular, classic rock ’n’ roll songs
from the ’60s to the ’80s—popular songs that have stood the test of time.
Stuff that everybody knows, can sing along with, and dance to.
Because of that,
we appeal to a wide variety of audiences and everybody
has a good time wherever we play
Although the core of The Stray Dogs Band is a three-piece
with guitar, drums, and bass, we usually include a fourth member for
improving the sound. Cincinnati’s best guitarist, Scotty Anderson,
frequently plays lead guitar for us and does he ever! Scotty has won
numerous guitar player competitions for jazz and country, hailed by
Guitar One magazine as one of “America’s 10 Best Unknown Guitarists,”
Anderson has recorded three CDs to date, two of which are available
through J Curve Records and from www.scottyandersonguitar.com.
In addition to recording, Scotty worked for a music products
manufacturer throughout the 1980s and ’90s, performing at
NAMM shows and clinics across the country. His concert
performances have included playing for the Chet Atkins
Appreciation Society in Paris, the Massachusetts Folk Festival
in Boston, and opening up for the Doobie Brothers.
